Eco-Lighthouse is Norway's most widely used certification scheme for enterprises seeking to document their environmental efforts and demonstrate social responsibility. Brynje greatly appreciates being certified and sees it as our responsibility to contribute to achieving the UN's sustainability goals.
Nature and social responsibility lie in Brynje's backbone
Nature, social responsibility and environmental considerations are the basis for Brynje’s entire business. It is in the backbone of our employees and guides all the small and large decisions we make on a daily basis - in meetings with suppliers, customers and partners. We work purposefully to ensure that we always stay on top as one of the most environmentally friendly outdoor clothing manufacturers in Norway.
Brynje is a family business from Larvik. Humans are part of nature, and we need the resources that nature gives us. It is our responsibility to take care of nature for future generations. That's why Brynje makes high-quality products so that they last as long as possible. Unlike others who constantly change collections and make it easy for people to buy new, we create models that will live on year after year. Our goal is not to become the biggest possible, but to act sustainably in cooperation with conscious customers. The longer you wear your clothes, the better it is for both for nature and the wallet.
On a daily basis, we work to become even more nature- and environmentally friendly. Locally in Larvik, for example, we have replaced oil boilers with heat pumps. We have also replaced old lighting with LED lights and made arrangements for electric car charging. We sort garbage in every room in order to recycle and are constantly looking for new things we can improve.
