Excerpt from the test
- Overall, I like these trousers very much. For use in the Norwegian mountains, where the heat rarely becomes the biggest problem, it will be a very good choice throughout the bare ground season. Also in winter, it will in many contexts provide a fine balance between wind resistance and ventilation. For example, on training trips or on longer trips in forest landscapes, where the wind will not be the strongest.
- My almost two-year-old trousers currently show no signs of approaching the end of their life cycle. The trousers appear to be extremely solid and durable. I have not observed any failure of seams or other construction details. All zips, buttons and hems still work as they did when the trousers were new. Wear resistance is also something to keep in mind if you react to the price tag. I think these trousers will last more than twice as long as one at half the price.
- What strikes me first and foremost about the trousers is the incredibly wide-ranging field of use. On tough winter hikes in the high mountains with the prospect of strong winds, I would choose a different pair of trousers. Brynje Adventure Softshell Pant can also get a little warm on the best summer days since the fabric is quite thick. Apart from this, the trousers can be used for many purposes.
